Kate and Laura Mulleavy (Rodarte) have designed the costumes for the movie Black Swan (Natalie Portman playing the leading role). “‘Black Swan is set to be one of the most stylish films of all time” states The Telegraph. Very much looking forward to see the film.
Topman presents their new denim line in a way that is quite similar to McQ. While McQ presented two girls, Topman introduces three young boys wandering around, sharing their thoughts. The Director of the Topman films is Laurence Ellis.
It’s a pity that the Topman website has no connection whatsoever to the short films. Can’t imagine why?
“Bullett is a revolutionary transmedia platform contracted for innovation and modernity. Excavating through the saturated culture of consumerism to discover the most refined talent, Bullett illuminates and unearths the core of art and creativity. A kinetic power developed to be the catalyst of future imagination, Bullett utilizes the platforms in print, internet, tv, interactive events and mobile to deliver it’s content.”
After browsing through this magazine (online, of course), I found the content really interesting. It’s about trends, fashion and style, yes, but big part of the content is about long, well written articles. Somewhat Monocle-ish, Wallpaper-ish (= quality content in a well designed package). But still nothing like the mentioned magazines. Happy to get to know this new magazine concept.

Surprising. Beautiful, dreamlike. I would call these clips “reality fashion”. It’s so refreshing to see the clothing etc. without the models posing that much. The overall sentiment is created with the flowing monologue and the music. Works for me.

Check out Refinery 29′s “Massive Online Shopping Guide” – they’ve picked out the best sites. In case you need guidance what comes to shopping ;)
The web stores are divided into five sections: affordable multibrand, boutique, high-end multibrand, discount and department store.
I was familiar with most of the sites but got to know some new ones also, for example Otte, Oak NYC and Aloha Rag.
Good weekend & good shopping!
