Some Newsletters I Like
Friday, October 1st, 2010I have a confession to make. I receive a significant amount (=hundreds) of newsletters every day. Just because I want to have them.
For example, The New York Times kindly sends me each of their newsletters:
1. Today’s Headlines (top news every morning),
2. Ticket Watch (best live entertainment, special deals, promotions),
3. New York Today (daily collection of the local NYC offerings eg. arts, style, business etc),
4. Breaking News Alerts (significant and important news),
5. Great Getaways (perfect escapes and the very best in luxury travel),
6. Sophisticated shopper (selective sales, promotions, product launches, must-haves),
7. Afternoon Update (end of the day recap of the top-news),
8. Travel Deals (travel deals and discounts on airfare, hotels, transportation etc).
Basically there’s something coming up at least once a day. And I really like having the NY Times newsletters, because:
A) each one has a clear theme,
B) concept and
C) content.
It’s not one massive newsletter, a messy thingy delivered to everybody everyday. You choose yourself the bits and pieces you want. It’s like a menu of what they serve. A good, versatile menu. Above you see the latest “Sophisticated shopper”-newsletter, what else.
